About
A boundaryless music festival is unfolding across the city. FEEL JAZZ FEST is a decentralised jazz festival running throughout the entire month of May 2026 (1–31 May), initiated by Within Jazz Culture and co-organised by Alto Plus Entertainment. Rather than anchoring itself to a single venue or stage, the festival spreads jazz across Hong Kong's urban fabric — from the everyday streets of Central and Sai Ying Pun, to the nocturnal rhythms of Tsim Sha Tsui, and all the way to the coastline of Sai Kung. Music becomes a process, not a destination. Centred around the curatorial question "What Is Jazz?", the festival invites everyone to answer in their own way — through vinyl listening sessions, bar conversations, live improvised performances, and dancing. When "not understanding" is no longer a barrier, feeling becomes the entry point. The festival connects six bars and cultural venues into a scattered yet resonant network. Starting from HK$420 per ticket, public sales began on 27 April 2026 at 10:00 AM. Founded by Yui Yu — a curator from Taiwan based in Hong Kong — the festival grew from a deeply personal experience of reconnecting with life through jazz in a hidden alley bar. She later founded "What a Jazzy Day" to curate jazz information in Chinese, building an accessible entry point for new listeners.
