Samsen is an authentic Thai street food restaurant in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, founded by renowned chef Adam Cliff and partner Bella Kong. Opening in 2019 as the second branch after Wan Chai, Samsen is dedicated to bringing genuine Bangkok street flavors to Hong Kong. The restaurant is recommended by the Michelin Guide 2023, particularly for its signature 11-spice Northern Thai curry that takes eight hours to prepare. Samsen uses premium ingredients including fresh noodles imported directly from Northern Thailand and freshly squeezed coconut cream. The Sheung Wan location features a larger space compared to the Wan Chai branch, making it perfect for groups and gatherings. Signature dishes include the Northern Thai classic Khao Soi (curry noodles), house-made fresh Roti, crab fried rice, and Wagyu beef dishes. The restaurant maintains the majority of tables for walk-in guests while accepting limited reservations for groups of 6-20 people, and also offers online ordering for takeout.
