Kachimushi is a Japanese-style white house café that opened in 2022, expanding from Sai Kung to Kam Tin. Located on Kam Tin Main Street, directly opposite the post office, this two-story minimalist white house stands out prominently. The café features tatami seating indoors with ample space between tables, creating a relaxed atmosphere without any sense of crowding. The outdoor area boasts an open-air Japanese garden with sand, stones, and plants arranged in a zen-inspired dry landscape (karesansui) style, making it the most popular photo spot. The café primarily serves coffee and light meals, with their signature Dutch Baby Pancake being a rare find - crispy outside and soft inside, beautifully presented with powdered sugar. For savory options, the grilled Brie cheese with toast ($68) is a must-try, featuring crispy toast paired with smooth melted Brie cheese.
